Seascapes and Landscapes
“Sailboats” series
This series was created with the idea of maintaining the same setting, composition and perspective, but each painting conveys an unlimited variety of changing colours, tones, feelings and thoughts depending on the time of day, lighting and weather changes.
Similar techniques have been used by artists throughout the history of painting. Under this influence, I created a similar series that allows me to feel the attractiveness of this approach from within.
"Sea and sun" series
The city of Aveiro where I live has a fantastic Atlantic coastline. A stunning landscape between the estuary and the sea each time moves me and motivates me to create my works of art.
"Cities at Night" series
The nighttime urban landscape has its charm in the color contrasts of the brightness of artificial lighting and the deep darkness.
Porto is a city very notable for its Douro River, wine cellars, bridges and stunning historic streets. This city never ceases to amaze me and motivate me to create new sketches and paintings.
